Arambam Samarendra remembered

Imphal, Jun 10 : Patriotic Writers' Forum (PAWF), Manipur today observed the death anniversary of Arambam Samarendra by paying floral tributes to the late writer's bust installed at Nungshikol Park in Chana.
In a release, PAWF informed that the event was attended by its president Naoroibam Khamba Luwang, vice president Sobita Mongjam, secretary Rakesh Naorem, founder secretary OC Meira, life member S Lakpati, S Premlata, Sangita Thounaojam, Naorem Romila and Chana Lembi among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Naorem recalled the contributions made by Arambam Samarendra towards the welfare of the society.
Expressing concern over the ongoing conflict in the State, he appealed to all the Stakeholders, Central and State Governments to make a concerted effort to restore peace & normalcy in Manipur at the earliest.
Similarly, Arambam Arambam Samarendra Memorial Trust, Imphal in association with Social Standard Club also observed the 23rd death anniversary of Arambam Samarendra at the premises of Social Standard Club in Khurai Nandeibam Leikai, Salanthong.
During the event, social activist RK Meghen and other participants offered floral tributes and observed 2 minutes silence to pay respect to Arambam Samarendra.
