Indigenous communities resolve to safeguard peaceful coexistence

THOUBAL, Jun 16: Indigenous communities residing in Kakching and Chandel districts particularly within the areas of Korsantabi Chajing Khunou Tangjeng Khunou Apunba Lup (KOCHTAL) resolved to co-exist peacefully.
The above resolution was taken during a public meeting convened at Chajing Khunou Community hall in Sugnu Assembly Constituency organised by KOCHTAL.
The meeting was attended by village chiefs and leaders of Anal, Tangkhul, Lamkang and Kom communities of Chandel district and locals of Pangantabi, Tangjeng Khunou, Korshantabi, Chajing Khunou, Wapokpi and Sugnu etc of Sugnu AC.
The attendees resolved to strongly fight against all forms of   influences which may disrupt the peaceful co-existence of indigenous communities.
The village chiefs, leaders and CSOs also decided to work in coordination to tackle forces which pose threats to the activities of the villagers and the bond of love and brotherhood.
