TAJP expresses deep concern

IMPHAL, Jul 31: The Tai Ahom Jatiya Parishad (TAJP), a joint form of all Ahom Organisations and prominent personalities of Ahom community, has expressed deep concern over the violence in Manipur.
In a statement, the council's president Raj Kumar Alok Narayan Singh, executive president Dr Dayanand Bargohai and general secretary Amarjyoti Arandhara noted the age-old good historical relationship between Ahom and Manipuris.
The Ahom community has always been with the people of Manipur in times of need, it said while urging all ethnic groups in Manipur to avoid violence and create an atmosphere of peace.
