IMPHAL, Aug 19 : Ksh Maheshwari sealed the women's singles title as K Dingku and Khwairakpam Manjit won the men's doubles title in the Yonex-Sunrise North East Zone Inter State (Individual) Badminton Championship which concluded today in Itanagar.
Manipur's Maheshwari eased to a 21-12, 21-16 win over host Pinky Karki in the final today to seal the women's singles title. Maheshwari reached the final with a comfortable 21-9, 21-10 win over Ramngaihzuali of Mizoram in a semi-final match.
Arunachal Pradesh Pinky Karki in the meantime had a 21-10, 21-12 win over Elsarica Umdor of Meghalaya in the other semi-final match.
Manipur's Konsam Gunjan and Sananu Meisnam settled for the runners up spot in the U-19 girls doubles competition as they went down 11-21, 15-21 in the title clash against Mizoram pair of Lalrempuii and Abigail Lalthazuali.
State's women's doubles pair of M Somibala and Naorem Purnima also finished runners up after losing 17-21, 21-19, 9-21 in the final against the Assamese pair of Manali Bora and Maini Boruah.
In the men's doubles ultimate clash, Manipur's K Dingku and Kh Manjit worked hard to overcome the Assamese pair of Nibir Ranjan Choudhary and Sangram Chutia 21-19, 21-18 and earned the gold medal.
