"An Anthology of Manipuri Culture" released at JNMDA

IMPHAL, Aug 20 : "An Anthology of Manipuri Culture", a book edited by Prof M Akshayakumar Singh was released today during a simple function held at Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA), Imphal.
The function was attended by M Joy Singh, Commissioner, Art & Culture, Government of Manipur; P Bilash Singh, Director, JNMDA Imphal; and Dr Leimapokpam Lakpati Singh, Guruhan (Sankirtan), JNMDA Imphal as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, M Joy stated that the book contains 25 articles related to Manipuri culture written by 20 scholars.
He shared that the book will be beneficial in making the people, especially those from other States understand/ know more about Manipuri culture.
The Commissioner also stressed on the importance of publishing such books to preserve and promote the culture of Manipur.
