WAKO India Kickboxing ChampionshipSenior team finish overall runners-up

IMPHAL, Aug 21 : Manipur senior team bagged the overall runners up title at the WAKO India Kickboxing Champion-ships as the State team claim as many as 29 gold, 8 silver and 4 bronze medals.
The championships was held at Khudiram Anushilan Kendra Indoor Stadium since May 18.
S Youngone (-51 kg : low kick), L Sanathoi (-51 kg : kick light), N Premananda (-89 kg : point fight, kick light), L Dhanachandra (-89 kg : K-1), Kh Chingkheinganba (-69 kg : light contact), Ch Seitajit (-57 kg : low kick), G Dijamani Sharma (-57 kg : full contact), S Julia (-60 : low kick, CFW-musical form),  S Rebita (+70 kg : point fight, kick light) and Th Jinimax (-70 kg : light contact) won one or gold medals in their respective senior category competitions to earn Manipur the runners up title.
The other category players who won gold medals for Manipur at the WAKO India Kickboxing Federation organised championship are Oinam Alice (7-9 years boys : +35 kg : kick light), Delvin Thongam (13-15 years boys : -47 kg : CFW-musical form), Neeraj Nongmaithem (jr boys : -69 kg : kick light), Kh Kelvin (jr boys : -57 kg : low kick), S Anjipa (jr boys : -51 kg : point fight), S Puinakanta (jr boys : -63.5 kg : CFW-musical form), S Deepak (jr boys : -57 kg : low kick), O Taibanganba (jr boys : -60 kg : low kick), O Punshiba (jr boys : -51 kg : low kick), N Marvin (jr boys : -63.5 kg : low kick), L Samu (jr boys : -63.5 kg : light contact, kick light), W Mahesh  (jr boys : -54 kg : light contact, kick light), Md Sarif  (jr boys : -81 kg : light contact, kick light) and Kh Dolilex (jr girls : -56 kg : low kick).
