Arms, ammos recovered

IMPHAL, Sep 16 : A large number of arms and ammunition were recovered from Churachandpur district during search operations carried out by security forces during the last 24 hours.
The arms and ammunition recovered from Churachandpur district included one gun, 14 country made pumpi, 120 rounds of ammunition, two Kgs of gunpowder, three Kgs of country made pumpi gun ammunition and one country made bomb with triggering mechanism.
Search operations were also carried out in the fringe and vulnerable areas of Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal and Kakching, informed a press release issued by the Police Control Room. It further informed that CAPF personnel have been deployed in Chingphei and Lower Khoirentak villages.
