In a statement, CPPKT claimed that they found  a ZRA flag and a cross erected at the site sacred to Meeteis on September 11.
Saying that they have submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister and lodged a complaint to Moirang police station to remove the  flag and the cross on September 13, the Committee continued that four hectares of area dedicated to Ibudhou Thangjing at Thangjing hill range, two hectares of Koubru Lai-phamlen (sacred site) and another 4 hectares of Koubru Lai Pukhri are protected under Section 4 of the Manipur Ancient & Historical Monuments and Archeo- logical and Remains Act, 1976.
