62nd Subroto Cup : Manipur U-17 girls team leave Imphal

IMPHAL, Sep 18 : Manipur U-17 girls team represented by Ananda Purna School of Sciences, Thoubal Tomjing has left Manipur for the 62nd U-17 girls Subroto Mukerjee Football Tournament beginning on September 19 in Delhi.
The players who featuring in the State team are H Henarita, Y Bidyanganbi, Th Merina, K Helena, S Silky, P Milki, K Priyanka, L Nira, Ch Anjali, Th Bayrani, M Jasmine, S Niruka, S Silpa, Tabitha Khaidem,  M Bessiliya and Julan Nongmaithem.
L Thoimani and I Prameshwori Devi are leading the team as manager and coach.
The tournament is a 33-team affair with 7 pools holding four teams each and one pool featuring 5 teams. The pool winners decide after the round robin league will advance to the knock-out stage of the competition.
Manipur are clubbed with Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Army Public School (APS) in Pool A.
The State eves will open their campaign against APS on September 20 from 9 am before playing Madhya Pradesh on September 21 from 7 am and Tamil Nadu on September 22 from 9 am.
