Induction programmes held

IMPHAL, Sep 18 : The induction programme of students newly admitted to Ghanapriya Women’s College, Imphal in B.A/ B. Sc 1st Semester for the academic session 2023-24 was held today at the Central Hall of the College.
The programme was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of GP Women's College.
It was attended by GP Women's College Principal & Dean, School of Social Sciences DMU, Professor RK Tamphasana Devi; GP Women's College Students Union vice president & Head, Department of Physics, Dr M Bidyasagar and Hijam Romi Devi, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof RK Tamphasana Devi shared that the induction programme will help establish a good relationship between the teachers and newly admitted students of the College.
She stressed on the need for the faculty members and students to understand the rules & regulations, aims and objectives of the College.
The Principal also advised the students to follow the rules & regulations of the College and attend their classes regularly.
IQAC co-ordinator Dr MD Baharuddin Shah elaborated on curricular activities while Manipuri Department Head, Dr W Romesh spoke on importance of general education and Mathematics Department Head, Dr S Samarendra delivered a lecture on scholarship schemes for students.
Moreover, Tourism, Hospitality & Entrepreneurship Training Institute (THETI), Imphal today organised an induction programme for Tourism & Hospitality Training Courses at L.I Shopping Complex in Singjamei Bazar.
It was attended by THETI/ Nibiaa Group of Companies chairman, Prof N Irabanta; former Dean, School of Humanities, MU, Prof P Nabachandra and director (Finance), Nibiaa Devices/ THETI, Aeroshil Nameirakpam among others.
At the event, N Irabanta informed that THETI offers 3 months and 6 months certificate courses for Tourism & Hospitality Training along with one year diploma course.
