IMPHAL, Sep 28: The Centre has extended the time period for collection of biometric data of illegal immigrants in Manipur by six months.
Subsequent upon a State Govt’s intimation that the exercise of collecting biometric data of illegal immigrants has been going on and it may require some more time to complete, the Ministry of Home Affairs (Foreigners Division) asked the State Govt to take necessary action to complete the same within by March 31, 2024.
