State bodybuilders accorded warm reception

IMPHAL, Sep 8 : State bodybuilders who represented India at the 55th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2023 at Kathmandu in Nepal were accorded a warm reception upon their return at Imphal International airport today.
Notably, Manipur's Warshim Chesam won India a bronze medal in the sports physique competition for 170 cm. Warshim Chesam trains at United Gym, Naoremthong.
Jenika Naorem who trains at Sangai Gym, Khagempalli and Konsam Sanamacha also participated in the continental event.
Jenika competed in the women's model physique while Sanamacha competed in the 167 cm men's athletic physique competition.
They were feted by a team of All Manipur Body Builders Association and well wishers as they landed at Imphal International airport.
