HLTTA condoles demise of Oja Yumnam Babu

IMPHAL, Jan 13
The Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association (HLTTA) has condoled the sudden demise of renowned Thang-Ta activist and former Thangshuhanba of Sana Konung Oja Yumnam Babu Mangang.
A condolence meeting in honour of Oja Y Babu from Langol Leima Khullen was convened this morning at Thang-Ta Shanlen, Yumnam Huidrom, said HLTTA in a statement.
The members gathered recalled the contributions towards the promotion and preservation of indigenous martial art form Thang-Ta as Khoushrel Ashuppa of Sana Konung and Thangshuhanba.
He was also an advisor to the Thang-Ta Federation of India, it said while maintaining that the members observed two minute silence in honour of the departed soul.
HLTTA president, Oja H Premkumar also joined in mourning his loss (Oja Babu) and said that his demise was an irreparable loss to the State and Thang-Ta fraternity, it continued.
