118th birth anniversary of Kshetrimayum Yaima observed

IMPHAL, Jan 14 : Kshetrimayum Yaima Memorial Trust (KYMT), Kwakeithel Moirangpurel Leikai, observed the 118th birth anniversary of noted educationist Kshetrimayum Yaima at the auditorium of JN Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal today.
It was attended by Thangmeiband Assembly Constituency MLA Khumukcham Joykisan Singh, Wangkhem Assembly Constituency MLA Thangjam Arunkumar Singh and JNMDA Director P Bilash Singh as presidium members.
During the event, the Kshetrimayum Yaima & Thambal Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award 2024 was also conferred to renowned writer Dr Chongtham Jamini Devi.
The award comes with a cash prize of Rs 20,000, a shawl, citation and a memento.
L Memo's book "Padma Turelgi Hihonba" (adapted from English) was also released.
The dignitaries paid their respect to Late Kshetrimayum Yaima and recalled the numerous contributions made by him in the education sector.
KYMT chairperson Kshetrimayum Subadani and secretary Rakesh Naorem also took part in the event.
