MPSC clinch 14th Sr Women's Football League title, qualify for IWL

IMPHAL, Jan 15 : Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) emerged on top of the 14th Senior Women's Football League to seal a place in the Indian Women's League 2024-25.
India international Ngangom Bala, who have been in red hot form this season, scored two goals to help MPSC defeat Young Welfare Club, Langthabal (YWC-L) 2-0 for the sixth victory today in their ultimate tie of the 8-team league tournament organised by the All Manipur Football Association at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
Ng Bala had her first in the 31st minute to earn MPSC a 1-0 first half lead before adding her second and the last goal of the match in the 52nd minute.
Earlier in the day, Youth Welfare Club-Thambakhong (YWC-Th) played out a 1-1 draw with ICSA-Irengbam.
ICSA broke the deadlock with Laishram Rani's 10th minute strike before YWC-Th rode on Heikham Zenia to pull level 6 minutes latter.
