Manipur seal overall team title at 67th National School Games Thang-Ta

IMPHAL, Jan 16 : Manipur were crowned overall team champions in the 67th National School Games Thang-Ta  for U-14 and U-17 boys and girls held at Delhi.
In the championship which began on January 11 and concluded today, Manipur won as many as 11 gold medals,  6 silver medals and 4 bronze medals to seal the overall team title.
In the U-17 boys and girls competitions, Khundongbam Panan (-52 kg), Heikrujam Nongdamba (-65 kg), Nongmaithem Bikash (-70 kg), Maisnam Roniya (-56 kg), Maisnam Bembem (-60 kg) and M Chanchan Kom (-75 kg) bagged gold medals.
Meanwhile, Wangthoiba Yumnam (-44 kg), Chanamthabam Poireiton (-44 kg), Keisham Lucky Devi (-49 kg), Wahengbam Alona (-37 kg) and Moirangthem Thajalembi Chanu (+53 kg) bagged gold medals in the U-14 boys and girls competitions.
