Veteran Cricket : LCCC beat CYCLONE by 4 wickets to enter semi-final

IMPHAL, Jan 7 : LCCC, Lilong Chajing pulled off a 4-wicket win over CYCLONE, Thangmeiband in the second quarter final match of the 20th Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament today.
CYCLONE opted to bat first but were bundled out for 133 runs in 27.1 overs as Krishna (4/23 in 6 overs), Jiten (2/23 in 6 overs), Jinta (2/2 in 2.1 overs) and Ashok (2/38) of LCCC wreaked havoc to set up early collapse.
LCCC then took 22 overs to ease to winning 134 with 4 wickets left to spare.
Rakesh gave LCCC a positive start by adding 36 off 38 deliveries before Tarun 16, Krishna 15, Sanjit 12 not out and Jinta 24 not out took the team to winning 134.
CYCLONE's Tarun picked three wickets (3/30) in a lost cause.
L Krishna of LCCC was eventually adjudged man of the match.
SHADOW will play UCC-Blue in the third quarter final match tomorrow.
