Noney, Oct 27 : The four-day long 39th Youth Day Cum Sports Meet of Longmai Zone, Rongmei Baptist Churches Council (RBCC) concluded today at Longmai-II, Church Ground, under Noney district.
The event was organised by Youth Department RBCC Longmai Zone, a conglomerate of 27 Churches and hosted by Longmai-II, Baptist Church under the theme "Begin with God, End with no regrets".
During the noon activities choirs competition, quick talk battle, thrilling musical performances and distribution of award/certificate to all the winners in different features were the main highlights of the last day event.
The event successfully brought together young talents, promoting healthy competition, unity, and pride for the future generation. The successful conclusion of the event underscored the importance of empowering young minds. The event served as a platform for youth to showcase their talents, learn from inspirational leaders, and connect with their peers.
Rokungliu Panmei secretary, Longmai Zone RBCC, attended the farewell programme as a Gospel message speaker. She also shared the Gospel message with reference to the theme "Begin with God, End with no regrets".
Flag dehoisting was led by Angam Panmei, function chairman, in the presence of more than a thousand delegates attending the event.
GD Gaibulung, youth convenor Longmai Zone RBCC, in his speech of vote of thanks said that the four-day long event would not have been possible without the participation of 27 Churches under RBCC Longmai Zone and the tireless efforts of the organizing committee.
He also extended special thanks to each Churches and every youth member for their dedication and hard work.
"Let us continue to empower our youth to become responsible citizens and leaders of tomorrow," he said while thanking the youth participating in the event.
Sporting events such as 100 and 200 m races, volleyball, penalty shoot-out, marathon, obstacle race were also held for both the men and women clubbed in 8 houses namely Mathew, James, John, Simon, Andrew, Philip, Piter & Thomas during the four-day event.
