YWC-L beat CYCLONE by 7 wickets to top Group C

IMPHAL, Feb 9 : YWC-Langthabal notched up a 7-wicket win against CYCLONE-Thangmeiband to top Group C in the ongoing 11th Manipur Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament at their home ground today.
CYCLONE opted to bat first after winning the toss and gathered 168 runs for the loss of 7 wickets today but YWC chased down the target in 18 overs at the cost of three wickets to finish group leaders and qualify for quarter finals.
 Shashi 43, Roben 28, W Surjit 23, Rohindro 22 and Tarun 18 contributed in CYCLONE's innings which saw Samananda (3/39) and Sasi (2/21) sharing five wickets for YWC-L.
In reply, Prakashmani scored a 52-ball 69 and Sasi hit an unbeaten 45 off 23 balls to help YWC-L seal the victory with ease. Kumrjit 24 and Basu 22 also played their part well to help YWC-L register the victory as Tarun of CYCLONE finished with the haul of two wickets (2/26).
Prakashmani who scored a half century and picked one wicket was adjudged man of the match.
