NAPSA, KCC in Veteran T-20 semis

IMPHAL, Feb 10 : NAPSA-Kha Imphal and KCC-Kongba entered the semi-finals of the 11th Manipur Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament being underway at Langthabal Public Ground.
In the first quarter final match, NAPSA restricted toss winners SHADOW to 163/5 and chased down the target for two wickets in 18.5 overs to seal their place in the semis.
Pyarlal 33, Nongdrenkhomba 32 not out, S Jayanta 26 and Dhaneshor 25 led the scoring for SHADOW before Somorendro 68, Simon 64 not out and Premananda 18 not out set up the NAPSA victory.
Simon, who hit a half century and picked one wicket, was named man of the match.
In the second quarter final match, KCC beat CHAMP by 5 wickets courtesy Sonjoy's unbeaten 61 off 33 balls.
Bonny 27, Sanjoy 25 not out, Ratan 21, Surjit 16 and Geet 12 helped CHAMP post 134/7 after electing to bat first but Tomba 33, Sonjoy 61 and Devkanta 15 played sensibly to seal the victory within 18.2 overs with five wickets left to spare.
Sonjoy, who hit a half century for KCC, was eventually adjudged man of the match.
