3rd Master Boys and Girls Boxing Championships begin

IMPHAL, Feb 11 : The 3rd edition of Master Boys and Girls' Boxing Championships organised by the Manipur Amateur Boxing Association kicked off today at Khuman Lampak Boxing Arena.
As many as 120 young boxers, in the U-8, U-10 and U-12 categories, are in the fray for top honours in the championships organised to tap young talents and develop grassroots level players.
23 bouts were decided in the opening day of the competition.
The day saw Ango Pukhrambam of IVRBS sealing a 5-0 unanimous decision win in the 40 kg competition for boys against Bong Yengkhom.
A Rakesh of NSA in the meantime sealed an RSC win against Ch Bijeraj of PKBA in the U-10 boys 46 kg competition.
