IMPHAL, Feb 11 : A plastic recycling factory located at Naharup Mayai Leikai under Porompat police station has been gutted in a fire today morning.
The plastic factory belongs to one Yumnam Ibomcha of Naharup Mayai Leikai.
Reportedly, the fire suspected to be from an electric short circuit destroyed two plastic processing machines, some rooms of the employees and an office of the factory but the total value of the properties lost couldn't be ascertained as of yet.
Soon after the fire broke out, a team of firefighters rushed to the spot to prevent the fire from spreading to the adjoining buildings and doused the flame. It, however, took quite some time in dousing the flame.
