Gold seized

IMPHAL, Feb 11 : Customs officials arrested two persons along with 19 gold biscuits of foreign origin from Imphal Airport, today.
The value of the seized gold biscuits is estimated at Rs 1,99,20,644 as on today's market rate, said a press release issued by Deputy Commissioner of Customs Division, Imphal Rajivkumar Yengkhom and added that the arrested persons have been identified as Maibam Priyobrata (32), s/o Lilasing of Nambol Kongkham Makha Leikai and A Minaketan Sharma (28), s/o Premchandra of Brahmapur Aribam Leikai.
Priyobrata is a passenger while Minaketan is the coach driver of Indigo Airlines and the duo was first detained by the security staff of Indigo Airlines from the departure terminal, it added.
