GOC calls on Guv

IMPHAL, Feb 23: Newly appointed General-Officer-Commanding (GOC), 57 Mountain Division, Major General SS Kartikeya along with his wife Priya Kartikeya called on Governor Anusuiya Uikey at the Raj Bhavan yesterday and apprised the latter of the prevailing situation in the State.
General Kartikeya also briefed the Governor about the security preparedness of the Indian army units to face any eventuality in the State at any time. He also thanked the Governor for awarding citation on the eve of the Republic Day to three army units presently deployed in Manipur, conveyed a press release issued by the Governor’s Secretariat.
