Stage set for semi-finals of 1st IW District Sub-Jr boys Volleyball tourney

IMPHAL, Feb 3 : The semi-final line up of the five team 1st Imphal West District Sub-Junior Boys Volleyball Tournament was completed today.
The tournament officially began yesterday at Top Siphai under the aegis of the Imphal West District Volleyball Association.
In a Group B match, AMI beat SCYC by 3-2 sets to top the group stage. AMI conceded the second and the fourth sets but bounced back stronger in the deciding set to finish the game 25-21, 15-25, 25-18, 28-30, 15-10. Both the teams however qualified for the semi-finals.
Meanwhile in Group A matches, AMIMYDO beat LMYLC 25-16, 25-16, 25-11 for the first Group B match before beating LLYC 25-23, 25-10, 30-32, 25-9 for the second win.
With the win the Mayang Imphal team sealed their place in the semi-finals from the group along with LLYC who managed to beat LMYLC 25-21, 25-20, 25-17 in another match.
The final match is slated for tomorrow afternoon.
