Masters Athletic team head to Hyderabad for National C'ship

IMPHAL, Feb 4 : A strong 77-member Masters Athletic team including two team officials have left Imphal today for Hyderabad today in two batches for the 5th National Masters Athletic Championship due to be held from February 8 to 11 in Hyderabad's Gachibowli Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the team's departure at the Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, assistant team manager Kabir said that 75 athletes from Manipur will compete in 25 different events in the said championship.
Athletes, left in batches, will land at Kolkata and regroup there before boarding a train together for Hyderabad tonight, he said.
The team comprise 29 male and 46 female athletes and are led by manager RK Chourajit and coach T Devendrakumar, he added.
