Ranji Trophy Elite Group AManipur 221/5 at stumps on Day 3, trail Jharkhand by 113 runs

IMPHAL, Feb 4 : Manipur were 221/5 in their second innings at stumps on Day 3 to trail behind Jharkhand by 113 runs in a Ranji Trophy Elite Group A tie at Keenan Stadium.
Earlier in the day, Jharkhand resumed their first innings at 473/5 (after 117 overs) and declared for an imposing total of 504 runs after 119.1 overs courtesy of centuries from Saurabh Tiwary 114 not out, Anukul Roy 119 not out and Utkarsh Singh 116.
Commencing their second innings, Manipur lost Bashir Rahman for the first wicket at 19 as he was trapped lbw by Shahbaz Nadeem in the 13th over before Utkarsh Singh undone Johnson for 8 runs in the 32nd over as the scoreboard read 48.
From 48/2 , Longjam Ronald and Meitankeishang-bam Langlonyamba forged a 61-run partnership off 132 deliveries for the third wicket to lift Manipur to 114 before Ronald was out on 22 off Raunak's fifth delivery of the 54th over.
Langlonyamba went on to stitch a sensible 70-run partnership with Priyojit Kangabam for the fourth wicket to take Manipur to 184 but saw Priyojit getting bowled out by Anukul Roy for 34 runs in the 72nd over.
Utkarsh Singh then had his second wicket in the form of Pukhrambam Prafullomani (15) in the 75th over. Langlonyamba (85 off 149 deliveries) and Al Bashid (7 off 26 deliveries) were unbeaten at stumps.
