3rd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament begins; RCA, KSDO, AMCA, PTRC victorious

IMPHAL, Feb 5 : The third edition of MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament kicked off today in four venues.
The opening day of the tournament (30 overs an innings) saw RCA, KSDO, AMCA and PTRC seal victories. At THAU ground, AMCA-Thoubal registered a three wicket win over SYDO-Lilong courtesy of Mehbuk's all round performance.
Anish 4/27, Mehbuk 3/29 and Md Yakin 2/30 led in bundling out SYDO for 162 runs in 27.5 overs before Mehbuk 31 and Mustakin 30 helped AMCA cruise to winning 164 within 23 overs with 3 wickets left to spare.
For SYDA, Md Soweb Akter Bogi 31 and Md Sohail Khan 27 were leading run scorers. Md Sohail also picked two wickets in a lost cause as Md Aziz Khan, Mutahar, Md Safinllah and Bm Milas Khan picked a wicket apiece.
AMCA's Mehbuk was eventually adjudged man of the match.
Meanwhile, PTRC-Patsoi Part IV opened the Group B campaign with an 8-wicket win over LCC-Lamshang at their home ground.
LCC were bowled out for 82 runs in 24.3 overs after electing to bat first as none of the batters could cross 14 runs and PTRC cruised to winning 88 in just 8 overs thanks to Ngambarel Naoshekpam 29 and Mangal Sagolshem 32 not out.
Bush led the PTRC bowling and conceded only 6 wickets in his spell of 3.3 overs to return with a four wicket haul while Ngambarel, Bhuson, Bedabiyas Pheiroijam, Th Priyokumar and Goutham Chingangbam picked up a wicket apiece.
Bush was declared man of the match.
At Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak, KSDO-Kyamgei chased down a target of 115 runs set by MPA-Thounaojam with 7 wickets left to spare thanks to Md Washim 46 not out and Kh Firdos.
Earlier in MPA innings, Chongtham Sitaranjan scored the highest 33 to help his team post a total of 114 runs for 6 wickets in 30 overs while Md Shadik Israak Hussain (3/7) picked three wickets. Th Chinglensana picked two wickets for MPA while Chongtham Priyokumar grabbed one.
Elsewhere at Luwang-pokpa Cricket Stadium, RCA also pulled off a 7-wicket win against LOTUS-Hiyanglam within 13 overs riding on Md Albas Khan's 45-ball 47.
Srinivash Nongmaithem was the only double digit scorer for LOTUS with 31 runs to his name before they were bowled out for 85 runs in 17.4 overs as Heibokmayum Lucky Ahmed (4/33) and Heibokmayum Albaz (2/2) wreaked havoc across their batting line up.
Yaichand, E Yohenba and Srinivash picked a wicket apiece for LOTUS.
H Lucky Ahmed was eventually adjudged man of the match.
