Easy wins for AKSDO, PTCC, ESU, TRAU in U-14 Boys Cricket tourney

IMPHAL, Feb 7 : AKSDO, PTCC, ESU, TRAU all notched up comprehensive victories today in the ongoing 3rd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament.
At THAU ground, AKSDO pulled off a 10-wicket win against YESSDAN, Ningthoukhong in a Group A match.
 Saikhom Dinesh enjoyed a four wicket haul (4/5 in 3 overs) and Avinash Waikhom picked two wickets (2/12 in 1 overs) to dismiss YESSDAN for 40 runs in 7.1 overs before Borish Khundrakpam 16 and Chingamba Elangbam 8 produced an unbeaten 41 run opening partnership in 4.4 overs to set up the victory.
Dinesh was adjudged man of the match.
At PTRC Ground, PTCC opened their Group (B) campaign with an 8-wicket win over YUCC thanks to Lanngamba who took a fifer (5/14 in 6 overs) to devastate YUCC line-up.
YUCC were put to bat first and Lanngamba and Somobanta (2/12) combined well to bundle them out for 82 runs in 25.1 overs. Arun Khumanthem scored the highest 22 for YUCC.
Somobanta 40 and Ningombam Roberson 25 then steered PTCC to 83/2 in just 9.3 overs.
Lanngamba was eventually adjudged man of the match.
 Elsewhere at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, ESU-Wangkhei thrashed KCC-Kongba by 8 wickets in a Group C match as Soibam Sayonba and bowlers took centre-stage.
KCC elected to bat first but were skittled out for just 108 runs in 22.1 overs as W Lanchenba (3/13), Soibam Venus (3/20) and Devashree G (2/9) ripped part their line up with their impeccable bowling performances.
Sayonba then clobbered 15 fours on the way to his unbeaten 37-ball 73 to seal the victory in 10.3 overs with 8 wickets left to 1spare and walked away with the man of the match accolade.
Meanwhile, Preethson Arubam  and Mutum Swabhiman produced all-round performances to hand TRAU-Kwakeithel an emphatic 150-run victory over BKCC, Bamon Kampu in a Group D match at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
TRAU won the toss and amassed 213 runs for 6 wickets in 25 overs courtesy of a half century by Mutum Swabhiman   (73 off 43 balls; 15 fours and 1 six) and significant contributions from Preethson Arubam (29) and Potsangbam Jeet (28).
TRAU then bundled out BKCC for just 63 runs within 19.3 overs on the back of Preethson Arubam (4/16 in 5 overs), Potsangbam Jeet (2/10 in 5 overs) and Mutum Swabhiman (2/7 in 2.3 overs).
Mutum Swabhiman who hit a half century and picked two wickets was adjudged man of the match.
