Chingkheihunba PC crowned champions of State Equestrian C'ships

IMPHAL, Feb 7 : The 17th edition of Ningthoukhongjam Tombi State Equestrian Championships organised by the Manipur Equestrian Association concluded today at Pony Breeding Farm, Lamphelpat.
Chingkheihunba Polo Club were crowned champions of the tournament while Imphal Riding Club finished runners up. They were feted with Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively along with trophies.
Riders competed in Show Jumping, Tent Pegging Lance and Sword and Arambai Target Throw in the said championship.
On the last day of the competition, Th Jacob of Imphal Riding Club, N Premananda of Chingkheihunba Polo Club and Dollar Soram of Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club sealed the top three positions respectively in the open Arambai Target hit competition.
The women's tent pegging-lance title went to Kh Daventy of Imphal Riding Club as Th Sanajaobi of Chingkheihunba Polo Club and Neelu RK of Chingkheihunba Polo Club finished second and third.
Senior team tent pegging (lance) title went to Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club team comprising Alex Aheibam, S Saolin, W Abothe and Dollar Soram as Imphal Riding Club-B and MPSC-B finished second and third.
