Shaheed Manoranjan Memorial Football : FC Raengdai, TRAU enter last 16-stage

IMPHAL, Feb 8 : FC Raengdai and TRAU FC made their ways to the last-16 stage of the 14th Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial Football Tournament being underway here at SAI Sports Complex, Takyel.
A last gasp goal by W Herojit set up FC Raengdai 1-0 win over MPSC today and a pre-quarter final date with Sagolband United who got a first round bye.
Both sides failed to make the most of their chances almost throughout the evenly matched game until Herojit scored one minute into the stoppage time to avoid penalty shoot-out from deciding the winners.
Later in the day, TRAU rode on late goals from RK Chiranjan (70') and Sovami (82') to knock out WAFA-Wangoi 2-0 and set up pre-quarter final date with Juvenile Club.
Sangai Football School will play ESU in the next match tomorrow.
