SHADOW, KSDO, YPHUC, LOTUS register wins in 3rd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament

IMPHAL, Feb 8 : SHADOW-Thangmeiband, KSDO-Kyamgei, YPHUC-Lalambung and LOTUS-Hiyanglam emerged victorious in today's matches of the 3rd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament 2023-24.
At PTRC ground, SHADOW rode on 81-run extras and  significant contributions from Yohenba Konjengbam 41, Kh Devis 37 and James Sahu 36 to rack up 234 runs for 6 wickets in allotted 30 overs after put in to bat first and bowled out AMCA for 50 runs in 14.3 overs.
Anish picked three wickets (3/22 in 6 overs) for AMCA before Arubam Goshan 2/3, Kh Devis 2/4 and Yohenba Kongjengbam 2/5 devastated the AMCA line up with ease for SHADOW's second straight win.
Yohenba who starred with both the bat and ball was adjudged man of the match.
At Kongba Dhobi Lampak, YPHUC-Lalambung notched up a huge 123 run victory against LCC-Lamsang thanks to Irom Ishor's all round performance.
Irom Ishor 26, Jangammei Maringmei 34, Loktongbam Himesh 17 and Konsam Mangal 17 helped YPHUC post 198 runs for 6 wickets and skittled out LCC for 75 runs within 13.3 overs as Irom Ishor 4/7, Jangammei Maringmei 3/24 and Yaioiba Ningombam 3/9 wreaked havoc across the LCC line up.
Elsewhere at Luwangpokpa Cricket
Stadium, KSDO sealed a 10-wicket win over SSC-Porompat who were bowled out for 76 runs in 24.4 overs.
Md Gunbas (4/15), Md Abu Sufiyan (3/17) and Md Soheb (2/6) set up SSC collapse after KSDO opted to bowl first and rode eased to winning 78 without any loss on the back of an unbeaten half century (24-ball 52).
Gunbas was eventually named man of the match.
LOTUS, Hiyanglam meanwhile pulled off a 56 run victory over SU-Sagolband at THAU ground for the first Group D win in two matches.
LOTUS were bowled out for 175 runs in 29.4 overs after being put in to bat first but the total proved too big for SU who ended up gathering 119 within 18.2 overs of the chase.
Tayenjam Sachin 22, Alex Thounaojam 20 and Srinivash Nongmaithem 16 were the main run getters for LOTUS before Srinivash 4/30 and Alex 3/28 combined well to run through the SU batting order.
Romanta Sagolsem also picked three wickets for
SU.
Srinivash who starred with both the bat and ball was adjudged man of the match.
