Explosives recovered

IMPHAL, Mar 23 : A combined team of Kakching commandos and Waikhong police recovered one pistol and explosives from Waikhong Uyung Khunou Maning Ching today.
The police said that they carried out a search operation at the area on receiving inputs about some arms and ammunition being kept hidden there.
The recovered items include one country made pistol with an empty magazine and two hand grenades without detonators and they have been handed over to Waikhong Police Station.
Meanwhile, a press release issued by IGAR (S) said that a team of Assam Rifles and Territorial Army seized two cordex wrapped IEDs from Saigon in Tengnoupal on March 21.
