Heibok FC, Bolero FC-B and Langthabal FC reach pre-quarters

IMPHAL, Mar 23 : Heibok FC, Bolero FC-B and Langthabal FC sealed their pre-quarterfinal tickets today in the ongoing 1st Heibok Trophy 5-a-side football Tournament.
In the first match of the day, Heibok FC outlasted CKCC, Langthabal 2-0 to set up a pre-quarterfinal date with Singjamei FC-B. The winning goals were scored by Khambaton and Mangal in the 18th and 20th minutes respectively.
In the second match of the day, Bolero FC-B reached the last-16 stage with a 4-3 shoot-out win over MNFC, Kyamgei after a goalless draw in the regulation time (40 minutes).
Girish, Phoenix, Naresh and Denil converted for the winning side as Robert, Naotomba and Yohenba found the target for the losing team.
In the third and the last match of the day, Langthabal FC edged out Unit-46 3-2 on penalties to set up a pre-quarterfinal date with Bolero FC-B.
Chungmei, Binoy and Shivasha scored for the Langthabal team in the shoot-out after a goalless draw in the regulation time as Jackson and Manao found the target for Unit-46 team.
