SWC, TYDA win as 8th Th Iboton Memorial 3rd Divn Football league begins

IMPHAL, Mar 23 : Social Welfare Club (SWC), Bishnupur and TYDA, Toubul emerged victorious as United Football Club (UFC), Bishnupur played out a 2-2 draw with CRAU, Leimapokpam in the opening day matches of the 8th Th Iboton Memorial  Third DivisionU-15 Boys Football League 2023-24.
In the opening match of the 8-team tournament organised by DSA Bishnupur, SWC edged 1-0 past Youth Social Welfare Association (YSWA), Utlou courtesy of a first half goal from Wahengbam Sanahal (35+2').
Meanwhile in the second match, Nicolas (12', 23') scored twice to help UFC salvage a 2-2 draw with CRAU whose Naorem Pravin (5') and Soiraisham Joychandra (21') were on target.
In the third match of the tournament, TYDA rode on  goals from Thongam Anish (38') and Shagolshem Nikesh (57') to seal a 2-0 win over Youth Welfare Organisation (YWO), Bishnupur.
