CM and Loktak TrophyYSWA confirm quarterfinal berth with 3-1 win over AKSA

IMPHAL, Mar 23 : YWSA, Utlou confirmed their place in the quarterfinals of the 1st Chief Minister and 14th Loktak Trophy with a game left to play as they sealed a 3-1 win over AKSA, Kwakta at Moirang Multipurpose Hr Sec ground today.
AKSA, having suffered a defeat 1-2 in the hands of YPHU in the first group (D) stage game, are out of the tournament with today's loss and YWSA will play YPHU in the Group winners deciding match on March 25.
The first half went lull but YSWA went ahead after 49 minutes with RK Lanchenba converting a chance before Sekho doubled the advantage in the 80th minute. Hemba further extended the lead to 3-0 two minutes later with a clinical finish before Afridi grabbed a consolation goal AKSA in the 89th minute.
