CACHAR, Mar 24: A literary meet was held today at Singreibond in Assam's Cachar district organized by Naharol Khorirol Sillup, Assam.
The literary meet was graced by renowned film-maker of Manipur, OC Meira as the chief guest and Naharol Khorirol Sillup president Thokchom Bishonath as the president.
In today's literary meet, more than 30 eminent writers of Assam held a poetry and short stories reading session.
Speaking at the occasion, Thokchom Bishonath underscored the need of making dedicated efforts for the promotion of Manipuri literature. He also highlighted the importance of promoting and encouraging young and dynamic writers for the enhancement of Manipuri literature.
