Pambei-led UNLF condoles

IMPHAL, Mar 24: The Pambei-led UNLF and its armed wing MPA have condoled the demise of private Thingnam Chamba alias Jiter.
According to a press release issued by the outfit’s media coordinator Charairongba Thokchom, private Chamba of Marjing Battalion sustained critical injuries as his rifle misfired  and he succumbed to the injuries in a hospital at around 11.56 pm on March 22.
Private Chamba was the youngest of four siblings born to late Thingnam Tenden and Sarangthem (N) Thingnam (O) Memcha of Umathel Awang Leikai, Kakching district.    
He was born on March 13, 2001.
Private Chamba joined the outfit in 2023 and completed basic military training in September same year.
On completion of basic military training, Private Chamba was posted at Marjing Battalion of MPA’s 1st Brigade and he took part in the Khamenlok battle.
Private Chamba discharged his duties diligently till his last breath, said the outfit.
His sudden demise has left a big void in the party, the Pambei-led UNLF said.
The outfit and its armed wing MPA also conveyed solidarity to the bereaved family and friends.
It further prayed that the deceased may rest in peace on the soil of Manipur.
