MOIRANG, Mar 24: Chief Minister N Biren has stated that BJP would name its candidate for the Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency by Monday.
N Biren made this statement during an inspection tour of an open gym and craft handloom village at Moirang today.
Replying to queries raised by media persons, Biren stated that the name of BJP candidate in Inner Manipur PC would be announced by tomorrow.
He also exuded confidence that BJP would score a landslide victory in the ensuing Lok Sabha election.
People who understand the issue well and know what the BJP has been doing are standing firmly behind the party. Nowadays, people would not be swayed by impressive speeches or educational qualifications, Biren said.
People would elect the candidate/party who have been working for the people all along and dedicated to the cause of the Nation, he said and added that BJP’s chance of victory stands at 200 per cent.
On being asked about the protracted crisis, the Chief Minister appreciated the cessation of armed confrontation between the two sides and efforts to bring peace in the State.
He said that all the grievances and aspirations can be resolved through dialogue.
Saying that violence cannot solve any problem, Biren called upon all stakeholders to forget the ill-feelings of the past and come forward for dialogue in order to bring a solution.
All those people killed in the violence are martyrs and the displaced people are suffering for the Nation, and their suffering will bring a brighter future, he said.
