IMPHAL, Apr 10: The State Government has declared April 19, 2024 (Friday) as a public holiday for all public offices, educational institutions, autonomous bodies etc and a paid holiday for commercial/private undertakings located within the 47 Assembly segments which would go to the first phase of Lok Sabha polls on the same day.
GAD Deputy Secretary Asem Rangina Chanu issued an order to this effect today.
The same order has also declared April 26, 2024 (Friday) as a public holiday for all public offices, educational institutions, autono- mous bodies etc and a paid holiday for commercial/private undertakings located within the remaining 13 Assembly segments.
