State set for finals of 19th State Women and U-16 Boys' Polo Tournaments

IMPHAL, Apr 10 : The final line up for both the 19th State Women and 7th U-16 Boys' Tournaments have been completed yesterday and the finals will take place tomorrow at All Manipur Polo Association ground at Iroishemba.
Linthoinganbi Kangjei Lup (LKL), earned a 1-0 win over Madan Polo Club in the second semi-final match yesterday to set up final date with Chingkhei Hunba Polo Club who entered the final with a 6-2 win over Ibudhou Pakhangba PC in the first semi-final.
Meanwhile in the boys' semi-final, Thoubal District Polo Association (TDPA) outlasted Madan Polo Club 6-0 yesterday to set up final date with Arvind Polo Club who reached the final with a 10-3 semi-final win over Black Watch PC.
Wakhongthem Rohit scored 3 of the total 6 goals for TDPA yesterday as Wangjam Nongdamba scored twice and Wangkhem Priyobarta struck one. TDPA led the first chukker 2-0 courtesy of goals from Priyobarta and Rohit before drawing nil in the second chukker. Nongdamba nd Rohit added two goals in the third chukker to make it 4-0 before both the players added a goal apiece to complete the 6-0 rout of Madan Polo Club.
