KFC, NKVFC win in 5th Sangai Trophy

IMPHAL, Apr 12 : Keishamthong FC (KFC) and NKV FC, Utlou registered wins in today's matches of the ongoing 5th Sangai Trophy Veteran's Football Champion-ship 2024  at CYLC ground, Pishum.
In the Group B match, KFC won 1-0 over MLVFA, Mayai Lambi courtesy of a solitary goal from M Bimolchandra in the 41st minute.
Later in a Group C match, S Somananda scored in the 24th minute to hand NKVFC a 1-0 win over TRVSA, Malom.
Yesterday's results
KVFA, Kakching were held to a 2-2 draw by IEVSA, Khongman as AMBA FC and TBSFA, Taobungkhok played out a 3-3 draw in yesterday's matches.
In the Group A encounter, Md Candid Maring (5') and N Rakesh (70+3') scored for KVFA as Kh Ranjit (63') and Ajit Laishram (70+4') scored for IEVSA.
Meanwhile in the Group B match staged later, TBSFA rallied from two goals down to salvage a 3-3 draw with AMBA FC.
Deepak Laiphrakpam (14') and Rajkumar Goutam (44') handed AMBA FC a 2-0 advantage but L Roki scored in the 45th minute for TBSFA to make it 1-2.
Th James added another goal to AMBA FC's tally with a clinical finish in the 52nd minute but S Joy (70+5') and W Rajesh (70+5') scored back to back in stoppage time to make the scoreline read 3-3 at the end of the match.
The tournament will resume on April 15.
