IMPHAL, Apr 15 : Khundrakpam Rabina scored an unbeaten 31 before claiming five wickets to steer AKSDO, Khangabok to a comprehensive 264-run victory over Al-Ameen, Lilong in a Group B match of the ongoing 2nd MNCA Women's U-19 One Day Trophy 2023-24 at THAU Ground today.
Put in to bat first, AKSDO rode on contributions from Taniya Ningthoujam (66-ball 83, 12 fours), Sofiya Saikhom (37), Rabina Khundrakpam (31 not out) and 73 extras to pile up 286 runs for 7 wickets in 35 overs and skittled out Al-Ameen for just 22 runs in 7.2 overs as Alish Thokchom (5/5) and Rabina Khundrakpam (5/17) wreaked havoc.
For Al-Ameen, Najiya Begum enjoyed a 4-wicket haul earlier in the AKSDO innings.
Rabina Khundrakpam was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak, PCC, Mayaikoibi opened their Group A campaign with an 8 wicket win over PTRC, Patsoi.
PCC opted to field first and bundled out PTRC for 97 runs in 33.3 overs courtesy of collective bowling efforts from N Langlenthoibi (2/12), Y Nikita (2/6), Victoria Thokchom (2/12) and H Lingjen (2/21) before Athokpam Tennish 22, Anoubam Inao 22, Okram Yashica 12 not out and N Langlenthoibi 9 not out finished off the chase in 16 overs losing only two wickets.
Langlenthoibi was adjudged player of the match.12
THAU, Thangmeiband will play PTCC, Patsoi Part III in the lone Group A encounter tomorrow at THAU ground.
