UVSA, LFC win in 5th Sangai Trophy

IMPHAL, Apr 16 : UVSA, Lilong and Langthabal FC (LFC) emerged victorious in today's matches of the ongoing 5th Sangai Trophy Veteran Football Championship at CYLC ground, Pishum.
UVSA won 2-1 over MVFC, Chandel in their Group C opener courtesy of S Budha (30+2') and Kh Romen (38') after Beshani Monsang gave MVFC the lead in the 7th minute.
Meanwhile in the second match of the day, LFC rode on second half goals from H Ishwarchand (53') and Golmei Shingba (60+4') to edge past IEVSA whose M Biken found the lead early in the 4th minute.
