IMPHAL, Apr 18: PTRC Patsoi Part IV, TRAU Kwakeithel and REYS Khwai Nagamapal Lamabam Leikai emerged victorious in today's matches of the 8th MNCA W Prahlada & W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2023-24.
PTRC Patsoi Part IV beat ESU Wangkhei by 69 runs at Lairenjam Public Ground, Imphal.
TRAU Kwakeithel beat Al-Ameen Lilong by 68 runs at Model Higher Secondary School Ground, Imphal.
REYS Khwai Nagamapal Lamabam Leikai beat MODEL Singjamei Chingamakha by 7 wickets at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Imphal.
PTRC Patsoi Part IV vs ESU Wangkhei
PTRC won the toss and elected to bat first to amass a massive 217 runs for 10 wickets in 37.2 overs.
Jotin Singh Pheiroijam, the best batsman of the day, scored 84 runs off 73 balls while teammate Ngariyanbam Johnson Singh scored 48 runs off 46 balls for PTRC.
ESU's Chongtham Mehul Shreth and Hanjabam Donba Singh took 3 wickets each and Chitharanjan Sharma took 2 wickets. Lourembam Dipu Singh took one wicket.
ESU Wangkhei's chase, however, fell short taking only 148 runs for 10 wickets in 41.4 overs.
Its captain, Chongtham Mehul Shreth scored 29 off 66 balls, the highest for the team.
PTRC's Tamarland Pheiroijam and Ngariyanbam Johnson Singh took 3 wickets each.
Deepak took 2 wickets and Rohit Sharma Aribam took one wicket.
TRAU Kwakeithel vs Al-Ameen Lilong
TRAU's Yumnam Karnajit scored a massive 77 runs off 98 balls while Priyojit Kangabam and Phukhrambam Prafullomani Singh added 44(34) and 49(53) to amass 222 runs for 9 wickets in 38.0 overs.
Al-Ameen's Yumnam Rohit took 4 TRAU wickets while Nawaz took 3.
Md Sagir Ahamed and Boboicha Singh Thokchom took one wicket each.
Al-Ameen's chase for the target saw its batsman Md Safwan Khan taking 63 runs off 53 balls.
Md Safwan Khan remained not out but his team was restricted by TRAU's bowlers at 154 runs for 9 wickets in 38 overs.
TRAU's Thounaojam Rishikanta Singh took 3 wickets and Somorjit took 2 wickets. Preethson Arubam, Mutum Swabhiman and Priyojit Kangabam too one wicket each.
REYS Khwai Nagamapal Lamabam Leikai vs MODEL Singjamei Chingamakha
REYS won the toss and opted to field first.
With the help of Langlonyamba Singh M's 50 runs off 57 balls, MODEL scored a total of 140 runs for 10 wickets in 39.1 overs.
REYS' Sapam Bikash Singh took 4 wickets and Spougrakpam Shangkar Singh took 3 wickets. Kiran Laishram and Md Basir Rahman took one wicket each.
REYS' chase for the target proved easy with the team scoring 143 for 3 wickets in just 27 overs.
Md Basir Rahman scored 58 runs off 75. Jaali Ahmed Chisti scored 38 runs off 34.
Mustaque Mohammed took 20 runs off 23 balls.
Yungkham Romario Roy took 20 runs off 29 balls.
MODEL's Loukrakpam Superjit Singh, Dibak Naorem and Suson Yanglem Singh took one wicket each.
