IMPHAL, Apr 18: While Young Physiques Union played a goalless draw match against Football Club Lamjao, The Athletics Football Club (AFC) and Manipur Police Sports Club beat their opponents in today's matches of the 16th Manipur State League 2023-24.
The Athletics Football Club beat Liwachangning Youth Cultural Club 1-0.
Manipur Police Sports Club beat United Brothers FC 2-1.
Young Physiques Union vs Football Club Lamjao
The match between Young Physiques Union and Football Club Lamjao at DSA Ground Kakching saw a keen contest with both teams trying to find the opponent's net until the end of the 90+8 minutes.
The match ended in a draw.
The Athletics Football Club vs Liwachangning Youth Cultural Club
The Athletics Football Club beat Liwachangning Youth Cultural Club 1-0 at DSA Ground Kakching thanks to Laishram Roshan Singh's single goal in the 13th minute of the match.
Even as Liwachangning Youth Cultural Club players tried their  best, the team couldn't find an equalizer before the end of the match.
Manipur Police Sports Club vs United Brothers FC
Manipur Police Sports Club led the score against United Brothers FC with two early goals from Nongthombam Boyboysana Singh and Khem Bahadur BK in the 35th and 37th minute at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
The score remained 2-0 against United Brothers FC until Somishang R Shimray found the net in the 74th minute to give his team a goal.
United Brothers FC played well but couldn't find an equalizer. The match ended 2-1 in favour of Manipur Police Sports Club.
