Drivers resolve to stop work

IMPHAL, Apr 18 : Drivers have resolved to start an indefinite quit steering wheel protest along Imphal-Jiribam road from tomorrow (6 am) against the failure of the Government to book those who attacked a convoy of oil and gas tankers at Tolen Kuki village on April 16. Speaking to the media, a driver who is currently stranded at Jiribam said that they decided to launch the protest as the Govt allegedly didn't put in any effort to nab the culprits and ensure the safety of the stranded drivers. He said that the people, apart from the Govt, also seem to be unaware of the plight of the stranded drivers.
