Exercise your voting right : Ukhrul DEO

UKHRUL, Apr 23 : DEO Ukhrul Zuringla Kengoo has appealed to all the voters in the district to come out on the day of poll (April 26) and exercise their franchise in a free and fair manner.
A statement issued by the DEO said that Ukhrul which has two Assembly segments is all set and ready for the poll day.
The DEO/ DC also called on all the voters to make the 18th Lok Sabha election participative, inclusive and a truly demo- cratic exercise in line with this year's National Voters Day theme, “Nothing like voting, I vote for sure”.
Ukhrul has two Assembly segments-44-Ukhrul (ST) Assembly Constituency and 45-Chingai (ST) Assembly Constituency.
According to her,  44-Ukhrul (ST) AC has 46199 (Male-22549 and Female 23650) voters while 45- Chingai (ST) AC has 47670 (Male-22960 and Female 24710) voters.
Ukhrul (ST) AC has 71 polling stations including four special polling stations for the displaced persons while Chingai(ST) AC has 70 polling stations, she said  and added that facilities have been arranged for the PWDs in both the segments. Altogether  670 polling personnel will be deployed for duty in the two Assembly segments, out which 180 are women.
