Stage set for semi-finals of 2nd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy

IMPHAL, Apr 24 : The semi-final line up of the 2nd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy has been completed today with THAU, Thangmeiband and FORCE, Kshetrigoa registering wins in the final league matches today.
At Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak, PCC opted to bat first but were bundled out for 54 runs within 19.2 overs by THAU who cruised to winning 57 for 1 within 13.1 overs to finish Group A campaign with four of four wins.
Hijam Malemkhombi was at the forefront in dismantling PCC to a meagre total by picking five wickets including four on ducks to return with the best bowling figures of 5/21 in 6.2 overs. Thoithoibi Ahongsangbam also played a significant role in setting up the PCC batting implode by claiming the 6th and the 7th wickets to finish with 2/3 in 4 overs.
Athokpam Tennis was the highest run getter for PCC with 18 runs.
In reply, THAU lost Nganthoi Salam on 17 before Robeni Usham 18 and Nilopher Tokpam 12 finished off the chase with an unbeaten second wicket stand.
Malemkhombi of THAU was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at THAU ground, FORCE crushed Al-Ameen, Lilong by 295 runs for the second Group B victory and confirm their place in the semis.
Put in to bat first, FORCE rode on an unbeaten blistering century knock from Barkatun Khanam (90-ball 151) and half centuries from Neha (85 off 54 balls) and Mehanaz (38-ball 61 not out) to pile up a humongous total of 358 runs for two wickets in 35 overs.
Chasing the huge total, Al-Ameen succumbed to a meagre total of 63 with Khadija (2/9 in 7 overs), Rahamatun (2/2 in 4 overs), Barkatun Khanam (2/11 in 3 overs) and Farjiya (2/9 in 3 overs) sharing 8 wickets among them.
Only Najiya Begum 13 was the double digit run getter for Al-Ameen.
Barkatun Khanam was adjudged player of the match.
Semi-final fixture
Group A leaders THAU, Thangmeiband will play Group B runners up FORCE, Kshetrigao in the first semi-final at THAU ground on April 27 match while Group B leaders AKSDO, Khangabok will face PTCC, Patsoi in the second semi-final match at Dhobi Lampak the same day.
The final match is slated for April 30 at Dhobi Lampak.
