IMPHAL, Apr 25 : P Prince scored a brace to earn ELSA, Naranseina a 3-1 win over PYDA, Kwakta in their opening match of the 4th Keisham Babu Memorial Super Division Football League 2022-23.
ELSA got off to a flying start to the game at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary playground and went ahead after 9 minutes with L Rakesh finding the back of the PYDA net. ELSA doubled their advantage in the 28th minute through P Prince who went on to add another in the 42nd minute to hand ELSA a 3-0 first half lead.
ELSA took their feet off the saddle after the restart with the commanding lead and the scoreline remained unchanged until Irshad Alam scored the consolation goal for PYDA in the 78th minute.
AKSA, Kwakta will play FC Kumbi in the next match of the tournament tomorrow.
